Pink October at Hortense: our support for the Centre Oscar Lambret

Pink October is the month dedicated to raising awareness and fighting breast cancer.

At Hortense, we wanted to take part in our own way, with a simple, concrete action rather than just a symbol.

From October 1st to 31st, we're partnering with the Centre Oscar Lambret, Lille's cancer treatment center and the regional reference in Hauts-de-France.

The numbers speak for themselves: 58,000 new cases of breast cancer are detected every year in France, and one woman in eight will face it during her lifetime.

Yet when caught early, it's curable in 9 cases out of 10 — which is why screening matters: it's free and organized every two years for women aged 50 to 74, through a simple mammogram that takes just a few minutes.

It's to make even a modest difference to these numbers that we're partnering, from October 1st to 31st, with the Centre Oscar Lambret, Lille's cancer treatment center and the regional reference in Hauts-de-France.

Two pieces from the collection carry this campaign: the JOSEPH Sweatshirt, dusty pink and the FILIPPA Socks.

For every sweatshirt sold, €10 will be donated to the Centre Oscar Lambret; for every pair of socks, it will be €5.

The Centre Oscar Lambret has a dedicated Breast Disease Center, with a multidisciplinary team that supports patients from diagnosis through follow-up, and offers the full range of possible treatments (surgery, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies).

Supporting it means directly supporting a local organization that works on this cause every day.

Wearing the dusty pink Joseph sweatshirt or the red Filippa socks between October 1st and 31st is a way to show your support while concretely contributing to the work of the Centre Oscar Lambret.

The full Pink October selection is available now on Hortense Collection.
