Practical FAQ: delivery, returns, sizing, and care at Hortense Collection

Delivery, returns, sizing, care... these are the questions we get asked most often, so it's about time we answered them once and for all. In this article, you'll find everything you need to know before ordering, to choose the right size, to take care of your pieces once received, and to know how to proceed if a return or exchange is ever needed. Everything you need to shop with complete peace of mind, without having to write to us for every question.

Delivery

What are the delivery times? Your orders are shipped within 2 business days maximum, with delivery available in mainland France as well as several countries in Europe (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom).

Is delivery free? Yes, from €250 of purchases in mainland France.

How does Click & Collect work? You can pick up your order directly at our offices in Hem, for a convenient pickup with no shipping fees.

Returns and exchanges

How long do I have to return an item? 14 days from receipt to return a product that is unworn, unwashed, and in its original packaging.

How do I make a return? Everything happens through our returns portal: enter your postal code and order number, select the items concerned and the reason for the return, then download your return label. All that's left is to stick the label on the package and send it to the address provided.

Will I be refunded in full? Yes, if you return your entire order, including shipping costs. For a partial return, shipping costs are not refunded. Refunds are processed within 14 business days after the package is received.

Can I exchange an item instead of being refunded? Yes, exchanges are possible directly through the portal. You can also opt for store credit, valid for 12 months.

Sizing

How do I choose my size? Our sizes XS to L correspond to French sizes 34 to 40. The most reliable method is to take your own measurements (bust, waist, hips) and refer to the fit description listed on each product: for a fitted piece, we recommend sizing up; for an oversized piece, sizing down keeps better proportions.

Care

How do I care for my wool, linen, or knitwear pieces? Wool should be washed cold, either by hand or on a wool cycle, and always dried flat, never in the tumble dryer. Linen should be machine washed cold and air dried, wrinkles and all. Knitwear should be stored folded rather than hung, to avoid stretching at the shoulders, and an anti-pilling comb is all it takes to freshen it up between wears.
